America's top five foodie cities according to TV's Adam Richman
The Man Finds Food presenter lays down the best dishes and places to try them in the States...
3. Austin, Texas
"In the birthplace of Tex Mex cuisine, you’ve got to try migas, a Mexican-inspired breakfast dish," says Richman. "You’ll find amazing Mexican food and phenomenal barbecue in Austin, there’s a particular barbecue called hill country barbecue and there are great sausages all over town because it’s a major German settlement. The nearby town of New Braunfels hosts Wurstfest and there’s a place in 6th Street called The Best Wurst. The food truck scene in Austin is among the most vibrant ever. Places like The Mighty Cone and Eastside King are incredible, while Lucky's Puccias is also a significant food truck. There’s a sizeable Asian population in the city too, so you can find great Vietnamese food and great Korean food, which is definitely worth exploring. Fine dining options include Foreign and Domestic and Uchi – it’s all so, so, so great."
Man Finds Food is on at 10pm, weeknights on Food Network - Freeview 41, freesat 149, Sky 248, Virgin 287.
