Is Aidan Turner auditioning to be the next Doctor?

Is it just us or is Aidan Turner striking a pose rather reminiscent of Peter Capaldi's Twelfth Doctor in this shot from backstage at this year's Radio Times Covers Party?

Capaldi himself was also in attendance so perhaps the Poldark star simply felt inspired when he got in front of the camera. Or maybe, just maybe, this is his first audition as Capaldi's replacement...
