Netflix supernatural thriller Stranger Things is the latest phenomenon sweeping the internet and its incredibly 80s opening sequence is a particular high point for many.

It’s positively dripping with vintage 80s horror vibes, setting the viewer up for a chilling Exorcist/Carrie/It blast from the past.
And the story behind the credits is almost as interesting as the terrifying tale itself, as Vox discovered when they sat down with Imaginary Forces, the people who made the opening sequence.
