Another classic foe gets a sturdy 21st-century makeover – the war-mongering, potato-headed Sontarans. They make an evil clone of Martha (who’s now working for Unit) and try to gas the Earth via a sat-nav-like system called Atmos. Donna’s granddad Wilf (Bernard Cribbins) almost succumbs. But Donna finds the Sontarans’ weak spot when she clubs one – “Back of the neck!” Great fun.
