Well that's what some fans thought when the former Doctor Who companion posted a picture of her parents "back in the day" on Instagram (see below).

It's easy to see what all the confusion was about as her mum really, really looks like her daughter in the photo.

But sadly no adventures in space in time took place to create this image. It really is just a nice photo from the Gillan family album...
