This sneak peek at Victoria episode three contains the moment we've all been waiting for

The first two episodes of Victoria have been riddled with lingering looks, urgent whispers, heaving chests, tears and generally all the signs that point to the young Queen Victoria having the hots for Lord Melbourne.

And in this first look at episode three, at long last, it looks like there’s going to be a confession of her love for him.

Victoria approaches Melbourne “incognito”, in a lacy black veil, and speaks to him not as a Queen, but as a woman.

Just before the clip cuts out, she says: “You’re the only companion I could ever desire.”

All she needs to say now is those three little words.
