With first-hand experience already under her belt, Claire remains unnerved by the horror of warfare, whether in the future or the present.

Tempers are boiling

While Prince Charles – who’s now in Scotland – presides over arguments between his commanders as to their engagement with the enemy at Prestonpans, there’s equal dissent between Jamie’s men and those of his uncle Dougal – and Angus in particular is quick to rouse to anger...

Jamie may not approve of Dougal’s attitude – basically, kill all the British – but can’t deny his bravery, as he sends him out on a dangerous mission.
