Matt Groening, the man behind the biggest animated comedy series in the world, could be about to embark on a similar project for Netflix.

The Simpsons and Futurama creator is in talks with the on-demand giant to create a new show – also animated, also comedy – according to Hollywood insiders Deadline.

No further details as yet, but it's definitely an exciting potential collaboration given Groening's pedigree and Netflix's previous investment in the similarly irreverent animation BoJack Horseman.
