The comedy from Howard J Morris and Friends creator Marta Kauffman, has been recommissioned for a second series – and it seems the show has Wrecking Ball singer Miley Cyrus to thank.

Kauffman revealed the news on a FYC panel at the Pacific Design Center, saying: "It’s so awesome to do a show on Netflix because two and a half weeks after we launched, Miley Cyrus does a tweet about your show, and they call and say, ‘We’d like to do a season two.’ So yes, there is a season two. We have [...] Miley to thank."

Grace and Frankie, which also stars Martin Sheen and Sam Waterson, is about two women who have to rebuild their lives when their husbands reveal they are gay and leave their wives for each other.

The second season will air on Netflix in 2016, according to Deadline.
