Channel 4 certainly thinks so and is launching a nasty new E4 comedy called Bad Robots which tests our tolerance of having practical jokes played on us by everyday machines – from tanning to photo booths.

Apparently we rely on them so much we are more accepting of them – even when they are giving us humans a really hard time.
