Fans mourning the tragic death of Caroline Aherne can tonight relive one of her best-loved performances as OAP talk show host Mrs Merton on BBC1.

The classic opening episode of The Mrs Merton Show, with guests Kris Akabusi, Steve Coogan and Debbie McGee, features Merton's famous question to McGee: "So, what first attracted you to the millionaire Paul Daniels?"

Aherne was known for using the supposedly naive character to ask notoriously near-the-knuckle questions.
