There are, of course, two sides to every story, so to celebrate its 200th episode, US sitcom How I Met Your Mother is showing things from the Mother's perspective.

The milestone instalment, aptly titled How Your Mother Met Me, will give viewers a digest of what Ted Mosby's wife-to-be has been up to in the last eight years.

"It's a fun little 'Disneyland tour' through the series, from the perspective of someone outside the group," says executive producer Carter Bays.

And to mark the switch, the episode will have a new set of opening credits, based on the original but instead showing Cristin Milioti as the yet-to-be-named Mother having all kinds of nostalgic fun with her friends.

How I Met Your Mother follows New Yorker Ted Mosby (Josh Radnor) and his twentysomething friends and is interspersed with narration from the now married future Ted as he recounts the tales of his numerous sexual conquests and kooky adventures to his bored children.

The 200th episode airs on Monday in the US, two-thirds of the way through the ninth and final series, with UK viewers currently in the midst of season eight, airing on E4.
