Grieving David Platt (Jack P Shepherd) will be seen swearing vengeance in next week's Coronation Street as he makes plans for wife Kylie's funeral.

Upcoming scenes find David making arrangements with vicar Billy for Kylie's send-off, only to then lose his temper with Gemma (Dolly-Rose Campbell) when she asks for the details.

Scenes to be broadcast on Friday 27 July see David flying into a rage and after accusing Gemma of playing an integral part in Kylie's death, bans her from the funeral. Gemma is left upset while Sarah - who is back home on a visit from hospital - worries for her brother's sanity.

By the end of the week, Gail and Sarah are both putting pressure on David to let Gemma attend the funeral, as she was Kylie's oldest friend.

Max, meanwhile, announces that he'd like to give the eulogy at Kylie's funeral and David hugs him, trying to conceal his tears.

Realising how much David is suffering, Sarah then announces that - against Gail and Bethany's wishes - she's not returning to the hospital as it's clear her family needs her.

And it looks like she's right to be concerned for, later on, David calls in at the kebab shop to tell Gemma that he's changed his mind and that she can come to the funeral - only to then confide in Sarah that he's going to make someone pay for Kylie's death. Just what is he going to do?
