Twitter reacts with magical hysteria to Jude Law’s casting as young Dumbledore

Jude Law’s casting as a young Albus Dumbledore in Fantastic Beasts 2 broke the internet last night.

Law will step into the shoes of Michael Gambon and original Dumbledore Richard Harris, and act opposite Johnny Depp who is playing the villain, Grindelwald.

For the most part, the Twittersphere is absolutely over the moon with Law’s new role – partly because he has a face carved by angels, and partly because the puns and comparisons with his old chick flick roles are irresistible. Some fans are on the fence, though, and Depp’s casting is much more controversial.
