This new video points out that The Revenant is basically Jackass

We all marvelled as Leonardo DiCaprio literally went through hell to get his Oscar, braving the real cold and actually eating raw bison liver while filming acclaimed historical drama The Revenant.

But now we think about it, is it really acting if you’re actually cold and eating something disgusting? And without all the pretty visuals, isn’t it all a bit like the gross-out physical challenges of Jackass?

That’s the theory put forward by this new “honest” trailer from Screen Junkies, which points out that with a few music changes the terrible suffering of Hugh Glass is indistinguishable from the hi-jinks of Steve-O and pals. Now, how long do they have to wait for THEIR Oscar?
