When it comes to tugging at our heartstrings, movies don't just rely on emotive soundtracks, stellar plots and brilliant acting. Colour is a powerful tool too.

That's right, you might not have noticed, but movie directors are constantly manipulating our emotions and telling us how to feel through their use of colour.
Some of them are obvious. Red = violence and passion. But others aren't as familiar. For example, orangey tones can equal sociability or youthfulness, yellow madness and insecurity and green destruction, as this cool video proves...
