Star Wars fans have created a lightsaber battle so good it rivals the movies.

The spotlight is on Darth Maul here and the huge fight scene is so cleverly done you'd think JJ Abrams was behind it.

It actually comes from Shawn Bu and Vi-Dan Tran of T7 productions, who say the footage is "nothing less than an epic Star Wars fan film."

The visual effects took a long time to come together, with a frame-by-frame editing process. But it's certainly worth it:
