Ron Howard reveals first look at droids from Han Solo film

Star Wars director Ron Howard has revealed a sneak peak of an R2 unit in the new Han Solo spin-off.

Sharing the photo on Twitter, he joked: “These droids can be so damn intractable. But we'll go until we get it right!"

It doesn’t give a huge amount away, but it’s certainly more helpful than Howard’s last behind-the-scenes shot, which was very cryptic indeed.

Last week, Emilia Clarke shared a hilarious video of Chewbacca on the Han Solo set. But we still don’t know which character the actress will play.

The as-yet-untitled Han Solo spin-off is scheduled for release in May 2018.
