Ricky Gervais has completed the first rough cut of the David Brent movie Life on the Road. Cue celebratory Brent dance.

Gervais – who is writing, directing and starring in the big-screen Office spin-off – says this first '101 minute' version of Life on the Road is "pure fun. And cringe". Sounds perfect, right?

Set for release on 19th August 2016, Life on the Road promises to "delve much more into [David Brent's] private life than The Office ever did."
