Blade Runner is a funny film, because many of its biggest fans dread the upcoming sequel.

The 1982 sci-fi noir was pretty much perfect, and one of its morals is about not trying to extend things past their natural lifespan.
Nevertheless, a sequel is coming, with Ryan Gosling and Harrison Ford in the starring roles. Sony have just announced that director Denis Vileneuve will begin filming in July.
Hampton Fancher (co-writer of the original) and Michael Green have written a script, with Ridley Scott contributing original ideas, so signs are good.
It might be good.
Please, please be good.
