Acting can be a pretty dangerous gig. In fact, while from the outside it looks all money, fame and red carpets, in some cases it’s a job that can get you killed – especially if you’re working on big action-packed blockbusters.

As this new video from Screen Rant explains, over the years the likes of Jennifer Lawrence, Michael J Fox and Jason Statham have been variously strangled, suffocated, nearly drowned, hung and er, almost choked on a piece of fruit.

Frankly the whole thing is enough to put any dreams of A-list stardom to rest indefinitely. It seems safer that way.
